⋆ BAKUNAWA & THE LAST MOON ⋆
According to legend, there were once seven moons in the night sky, created by the supreme god Bathala. However, the Bakunawa, a creature fascinated by the radiant light of the moons, would emerge from the dark ocean every hundred years to devour one of the moons, causing eclipses and earthquakes.
Inspired by the filipino tale of Bakunawa, I came up with a quick concept and storyboard for a picture book retelling this tale in addition of a potential book cover Illustration.
